First Haircut

by Shannan on July 15, 2008

I’m really not sure when I became so attached to my kids’ hair, but I have put off giving littlest his first haircut FOREVER. I mean, not that at 15 months old it was too terrible, but I’m all but in tears now that its done. There is just something about cutting off those first baby curls that tears me up. Well, that and the thought that unless hubby comes to some revelation that we need to have one more in a couple years, that was the last first haircut I’ll ever give. *SNIFF*

Anyway, here is the before shot, which makes it blatantly obvious why the child needed to have his hair did

Channeling Don King

I was going to post an after shot, but he decided that all of the excitement made him to grumpy to pose. I’ll have to get a good one later!

Guess I should note that I DID brush it out before I took the pic. Usually that’s all curls, not a huge Don King fro!

I know exactly how you feel! Peanut has yet to get a haircut, I trimmed the bangs a little when they got in the eyes but he had no real hair to trim until now. I fear cutting his little blond hair off (and wrestling him into the chair). Hubs says he’s looking a little like a girl, I won’t confess that I actually thought of putting it up in a Pebbles ‘Do this evening!
