Over the past few months, I have become something of a Twitter addict. When I’m working online, it has become my water cooler, allowing me to shoot the breeze with a ton of great people. A few weeks ago, I saw someone recommending that everyone follow @PBLoco, because they were giving away free peanut butter. Now what self-respecting mom of toddlers (non-allergic) would turn down a chance to get a free jar of PB? I followed them immediately.
My curiosity was piqued as to why this company was giving away products on Twitter, however. I mean, its peanut butter…we all know what it tastes like, right? Well, once I visited the the PBLoco website, my jaw hit the floor. This is not your children’s peanut butter! There are loads of great flavor combos that are specifically made for the discerning palates of ADULTS!
They have flavors like Peanut Butter with Cocobanana, Peanut Butter with Raspberry White Chocolate, and Peanut Butter with European Cafe Mocha. These are just a few of the wild and crazy flavors that they offer on their website. One quick look around and I knew I had to have some!
I was lucky enough to win one of their contests on my second try and they let me choose my poison. I decided on Peanut Butter with Dark Chocolate Duo and let me tell you that it did not disappoint! The chocolate wasn’t overpowering, but the combination was awesome. My only gripe was that it was a little thinner of a consistency than I usually like, probably due to the chocolatey goodness mixed in. That was easily remedied by popping it in the fridge for a bit.
This stuff is good enough to eat straight from the jar with a spoon! I decided that a fluffer-nutter would be the better route to keep from drowning the chocolate flavor with jelly and was in PB lover’s HEAVEN! This one is definitely a treat that I will try again. Seriously considering picking up a couple of jars around Christmas because I think it would make to-die-for fudge!
