Giveaway! Breast Cancer Awareness Necklace & Bracelet Set

by Shannan on October 2, 2008

Ladies, its that time of year again! Time to give the girls the attention they deserve! Yep, its Breast Cancer Awareness month. Time to Think Pink and take care of our health.

According to the American Cancer Society, there will be approximately 182,460 new cases of breast cancer diagnosed this year alone and 1 in 8 women will develop the devastating disease within their lifetime. With figures like this, breast cancer is an issue that should be at the forefront of women’s minds.

Regular breast examinations are your best defense against breast cancer, including regular self breast exams and mammograms, after the age of 40. The Susan G. Komen Foundation, a leader in breast cancer fund raising and research, offers a variety of interactive tools that will teach you how to do a proper breast self exam. This website also provides other valuable information about breast cancer, that every woman should read.

In order to help show my support for raising awareness about Breast Cancer, I have teamed up with Connie Ott, Indepenent Sales Representative for Avon and owner of Princess Time Toys, to give one of my lucky readers the chance to win some beautiful jewelry from Avon.

We’re offering the Breast Cancer Crusade Tennis Bracelet and the Breast Cancer Crusade Locket Necklace to the randomly drawn winner!

I am a nurse in an ob/gyn office and I always encourage my patient to get yearly mammograms. To the extent that I walk them downstairs to radiology and have them get it done that day. I would be proud to wear this and be a reminder to my patient to have their yearly mammograms.
thanks

Pam and Sharon would wear them with pride! I tried to subscribe to your feed, but it said it had trouble with the page. Many thanks…..Cindi

Hi!

Thanks so much for holding this giveaway & spreading the word about breast cancer. I think it’s really thoughtful that you made many more people aware! I just took part in a reebok pink ribbon walk for breast cancer awareness walk. It was really enlightening to know all the women who came out stronger after surviving through breast cancer.

By the way, i have subscribed to your rss as i really love your blog! Keep at it yea? :)
