My friend Nikki, of The Guilty Parent, has a niece who could use your thoughts and prayers right now. Six year old Zoe has issues with cardiomyopathy that have become so severe that she is now awaiting a heart transplant. Over the weekend, she had so medical issues that have landed her in the hospital, awaiting testing that will decide if the remainder of her time until a donor heart becomes available will be spent at home or in the hospital. The testing is scheduled to take place tomorrow, so if you have thoughts and prayers to offer, they will be greatly appreciated.
Nikki has posted a lengthier description of Zoe’s problems at The Guilty Parent and they have set up the Zoe’s Heart website for Zoe’s mom to be able to share updates with those who are interested and concerned with Zoe’s progress. Click on the button in my sidebar to visit Zoe and her mom and share your prayers and well-wishes, if you have a minute or two. There is also information on the site about how to donate to the benevolent fund that has been set up on Zoe’s behalf, to help the family take care of expenses incurred because of the surgery.
