You’re Welcome, East Coast

by Shannan on March 2, 2009

3323902162_c9937a8d7bI would like to take this opportunity to say a hearty “You’re Welcome!” to the entire East Coast for being single-handedly responsible for the massive snowstorm that we’ve been slammed with. Yep, you can send me gifts and thank you cards for creating the biggest snow day in years (at least in our neck of the woods.)

Why am I taking all the credit? Because I snorted at the news of a potential major snowfall and am now out of toilet paper, bread, running low on milk and diapers and hubby has no beer. Oh and I live in a rural area that has yet to see a plow. Yep, it was all me!

Think of me fondly while you’re sopping up puddles of melting snow, responding to cries of “Mom, I’m bo-ored!” or shoveling hundreds of pounds of snow from your driveway, so you can slip-slide your way to the store! I’ll be here, thawing out my toes from our romp in the drifts or slurping up a little more snow cream, trying to make the best of it!

I sure can relate – my hubby wanted to make certain I took the garbage out today. ‘course, my whole township closed down (including sanitation). Go figure.

Hang in there, Barbara

I so hear you! I am in NH and didn’t get hit that bad, but was not happy about the new found snow on my back yard that was almost thawed out!!
