Easter is one of my favorite holidays of the year, for several reasons. Of course, the religious significance is top on the list, but I can’t ignore the fact that I love Easter candy. Peanut butter eggs and crème eggs are my downfall. I really enjoy putting Easter baskets together for my kids, too.

When I was young, we always had a toy or two, along with our candy in our Easter baskets and this is a tradition I have carried on with my own kids. We never did anything huge, just something cute and fun, usually seasonally oriented.

I recently received a couple of products for review that would make great Easter Basket gifts. Check these out and see if they might be a great fit for your kids:

kota-pals-hatchlings-triceratops Kota & Pals Hatchlings: $14.99-$16.99 Available at most major retailers or www.HasbroToyShop.com   K & D have been brawling over poor Kota. They love that they can pet him and he moves and growls in response. He has been on many adventures at our house already, like attacking Thomas the Tank Engine and being “read” stories. Besides the Triceratops, Hatchlings also come in Pterodactyl, Stegosaurus and Triceratops versions, each sold separately.

spud-bunny-blueMr. Potato Head Spud Bunny: $5.99 Available at most major retailers and http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com  Mr. Potato Head is a popular guy at our house, especially since my boys discovered the wonder that is Toy Story. This adorable classic has put on his bunny suit, complete with tail, for Easter. My boys have mixed and matched these pieces with their other Mr. Potato Head pieces and have even tried on the bunny teeth themselves. Super cute and fun toddler gift for Easter!!

If you have toddlers or preschoolers and are looking for some cute ideas for their baskets, keep these in mind when you’re out doing your last minute shopping!
