Jumeau Keri Bag Review

Keri-Deep_Sea_BlooIf you are a mommy of little ones, like me, chances are that you’re running around carrying a diaper bag instead of a purse. With two little ones only 14 months apart, I’m sure you can imagine that for a long, long time, I had so much junk to carry around I practically needed a suitcase. Even a quick trip to the grocery store required extensive packing.

Now that the kids are growing up a little, I don’t need to haul along 14 diapers, 4 changes of clothes, bottles, wipes, sippy cups, and all of my own necessities as well. The time has come to return to the world of a woman and carry a real PURSE. Imagine my elation when the people at Jumeau offered to give me one of their purses to review!

Jumeau has several design lines, so choosing a bag from their collections was tough. I finally settled on the Keri bag, from their Green collection. While the company strives to use sustainable and recycled materials wherever possible, the entire green line is made from organic cotton, bamboo, and other sustainable materials.

From the minute I opened the package, I was in love with this bag. It has loads of pockets, both inside and out, giving me a place to put everything so I don’t have to dig. Keys and cellphone fit perfectly in the two zippered pouches on the front, makeup in the larger pocket inside.

The purse is very well made, with heavy duty fabric and strong stitching and closures. I’m a little rough on things, so while dainty and delicate purses are nice to look at, for me, they just aren’t practical.

And the super, duper extra added bonus? This still-potty-training mama has room for a couple of diapers and some wipes, for short trips out. YES! I can go to the store without packing the diaper bag. Score one for me!

The only negative thing that I can find to say is that if I forget to put things where they belong, with the extra space inside, I find myself digging for the keys or the phone. Certainly not a problem with the bag, though…my own issues there.

I think the Keri bag from Jumeau and I are going to have a long and happy life together. It seems as if it is made for me and the things I do in a day!

This bag is gorgeous! And the fact that it is environmentally friendly makes it all that much better.
