Last week we were blessed with a few days of gorgeous weather, so I took the opportunity to get the kids outside and in the fresh air. The last time I tried this, we ended up at a local park where I saw some inappropriate (AHEM!) behavior in the parking lot by the parents of two preschoolers who were just let out to play unsupervised. Won’t be setting foot in THAT particular park again…
Anyway.
The gorgeous weather couldn’t be wasted though, so I packed up the crew and headed to the beach,
I know what you’re thinking. You took a 2 and 4 year old to the beach ALONE? Not completely…I did a test run the first time and drug J along to help me with the little guys, then when that went insanely well I took them by myself.
I was impressed with just how well behaved they were. We have to work on the whole “Don’t throw sand” concept, but I just might have a couple of little beach bums on my hands this summer!

Oh, I am so jealous of that gorgeous stretch of beach! I live on the coast here, but the beaches aren’t nearly as awesome! I hope you have many more days of play like that one!!
